Bailyn Sullivan Extends Contract with Hurricanes

Māori All Black and All Black XV rep, Bailyn Sullivan has agreed to a 1-year extension with the Hurricanes to include the 2026 season. Born and raised in Napier, of Ngāti Kahungunu, Sullivan is proficient at centre or wing.  Sullivan joined the Canes in 2022 and is Hurricane #283. He is known for his all-action physical approach and has played 27 games for the Wellington-based Super Rugby team. 

Bailyn Sullivan said “I’m very excited to have the opportunity to stay around for another year with the ‘Canes. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time here and have created lifelong memories and friends and looking forward to being able to create some more” 

Hurricanes Head Coach, Clark Laidlaw said “He’s shows maturity on and off the field and understands what he needs to do in his preparation. It’s great to be able to secure a talent like Bailyn, he can play in the mid-field and on the wing and the over next few years we’ll see his best rugby."
