The Hurricanes are breaking new ground in 2016 with a membership deal that offers all members free tickets to any of the Super Rugby Finals Series matches held in Wellington, should the 'Canes make it that far.

The deal is a first for Super Rugby, and Hurricanes chief executive Avan Lee said it was all part of the Hurricanes 2016 We've Got Your Back campaign based around the team, and members, supporting each other.

"We loved what we saw towards the end of last year when everyone came out to support us during the finals series, but we'd love for that to happen right from the word go this year.

"We strongly believe those fans that support us throughout the year should get something in return. We think this offer would be a huge thank you and reward for our members, come finals time."

The 'Canes have reduced their cheapest membership package to $99, while two-year memberships can also be bought, which include priority purchase to the Hurricanes and All Blacks matches against the British and Irish Lions in 2017. Members will have the option to pay the two-year deal off in instalments.

A Try Pack membership has also hit the market, which includes any three Wellington matches for $49, with kids tickets $20.

Lee said membership had been a huge focus for the 'Canes since the season wrapped in 2015, and there would be plenty of exciting things to come for those who chose to back their team.

"We're excited about our team, we're excited about our draw and the new teams in the competition, and we're excited about the opportunities we're trying to create for the 2016 Investec Super Rugby season."

Membership packages will be on sale at hurricanes.co.nz from 9am, Tuesday November 10.
