The Hurricanes are looking to the future and if you've got the skills to develop the next generation of players this might be the role for you.
The role is responsible for the recruitment and development of the next generation of Hurricanes players. The role is based in Wellington but has region wide responsibility for the Hurricanes youth development programmes.
The Recruitment and Development Manager reports directly to the General Manager of High Performance.
The role includes responsibility for:
- Player welfare and development
- Hurricanes schools including the selection of coaches and support staff
- Hurricanes regional academies
- Hurricanes apprentice programmes
- Provincial Union relationship management
- Hurricanes U18 and U20 programmes
The role would suit a highly organised yet energetic rugby person capable of responding to the challenges of professional sport. To succeed in this role, you will need to be motivated and prepared to go the extra mile, with no two days likely to be the same.
Previous experience in a high-performance sporting environment would be advantageous, while specific experience in the delivery of technical and tactical rugby programmes is a prerequisite.
Applicants should forward their CV and covering letter to Chris Stirling, General Manager High Performance by email [email protected]
