Tickets to the Hurricanes' first four home games are now on sale, including what will be a rematch of the game that kicked Super Rugby off back in 1996. They will take on the Blues at Palmerston North's FMG Stadium on March 13, having played the Auckland team there 20 years ago in the inaugural Super Rugby match. The Canes will be looking for revenge, having lost that match 36-28, despite former assistant coach Alama Ieremia claiming bragging rights for scoring the first ever Super Rugby try. Home matches at Westpac Stadium against the Rebels, Stormers and Waratahs are also on sale for those wanting to help their Super Rugby team start the season with a hiss and roar. The team has stressed how important a good start is to their campaign this year, after having to rely on the win-loss record of other teams to remain in play-off contention, for the past two seasons. The Hurricanes start their campaign next Friday, against the Lions in Johannesburg.
