Ricoh and Hurricanes to join forces

Ricoh will take a spot on the Hurricanes' jersey this season after sealing a partnership with the Investec Super Rugby team for the next two years.

Ricoh already have a proud, long-standing association with the Hurricanes and Wellington Rugby, which spans more than 15 years.

The company will be present on the collar of the Hurricanes' jersey, which was revealed in Auckland earlier today.

Wellington branch manager Chris Thornton said there were many exciting opportunities that would come from the new relationship, which was an enticing prospect for the company.

"Just as rugby has evolved so much over the years, so has our business. Ricoh are looking forward to the development opportunities the Hurricanes present for our business both locally, and internationally.

"We are also aligned with the Ricoh Rams in Japan, so who knows, there may be an opportunity to bring the two rugby clubs together somehow in the future, which is exciting."

Hurricanes chief executive Avan Lee said Ricoh already had a successful association with rugby throughout New Zealand and he was delighted they had chosen to sign on with the 'Canes from 2016.

"As a business we want to be innovative, customer-focused, and grow our brand internationally. I'm confident the team at Ricoh will help us achieve that goal, and all of us here at the Hurricanes look forward to working with them."
