Over 6,000 tickets have already been sold for the Hurricanes v Fijian Drua game this coming Saturday in Napier. There has been a significant spike in sales in the last 36 hours and a crowd of over 10,000 is expected.
Hawke’s Bay Hurricane Pouri Rakete-Stones said ‘the boys are pumped to get up to Napier. I love the Bay and our people. It will be amazing to play in front of a packed McLean Park of our fans, friends and whanau.’
Hurricanes CEO Avan Lee added ‘it’s great to see that so many tickets have been sold. It is always special to play in Napier especially for the staff and players that are from the region. Afternoon games (KO 4.35pm) are a rarity these days and the Drua are a quality team – get your tickets soon to witness a great rugby game with plenty of entertainment on offer. We haven’t been able to play in Napier for a few years and we are looking to get amongst the community while we are there’.
The Hurricanes arrive in Napier on Thursday 20 February, and on Friday from 9am-11am the team will visit schools in the region for a Meet & Greet and Q&A session, as well as a Skills & Drills opportunity with the Hurricanes players. There will then be an Open Captain’s run at McLean Park at 4:00pm. It’s a great chance for the fans to meet the players or get an autograph and a selfie.
At the game you can experience the Bluebridge Family Zone with activations and giveaways for the kids. Enjoy the Swirl Stand R18 zone with a dedicated DJ.
