Tickets selling fast ahead of Napier clash with Sunwolves

Napier’s Hurricanes fans have once again shown a thirst for Super Rugby, with a surge in ticket sales ahead of the Sunwolves clash at McLean Park.

Hurricanes CEO, Avan Lee, says 7000 tickets have already been sold and with the weather forecast looking good for Saturday that number is expected to climb.

“In 2017 and 2018 we had close to 13,000 turn out and we’re hoping for a similar number this time. It’s such a fantastic atmosphere at McLean Park, and I know the team can’t wait to play there again on Saturday.”

There’s potential for seven Magpies to be named in the 23-man squad. Whilst the team hasn’t yet been selected, Hawke’s Bay flanker Devan Flanders says he hopes to be on the list.

“I’d love to get some game time this weekend. When I was young, I dreamed of becoming a Hurricane and so getting to run out in black and yellow in my home province would be pretty special. “

Lee says, alongside the great weather forecast, kick-off is also at the family friendly time of 4:45pm and ticket prices have been set to reflect that.

“Adult tickets are $18.50, and children’s tickets are $11.50. It’s going to be an awesome way to spend an afternoon watching some quality rugby with the family.”

Tickets to the match can still be purchased here.
