Tui, New Zealand's favourite beer brand, is excited to unveil a new four-year sponsorship deal with the Hurricanes.
As part of the deal, Tui's new Golden Lager logo will take pride of place front and centre on the Hurricanes home jerseys for the duration of the 2016 Investec Super Rugby season, which will debut tomorrow night at Eden Park against the Blues.
The proud association between two of the Central Region's favourite brands, rugby juggernaut the Hurricanes and the heartland's favourite beer, Tui, has been forged over an incredible 17 years - having first kicked off in 1999. The new four year partnership shows the Tui brand commitment to the Central region.
DB's Head of Domestic Beer Marketing, Sean O'Donnell said, reaffirming the support for the Hurricanes was paramount, and the opportunity to be pride of place on the jerseys for this season was icing on the top of an exciting new sponsorship deal.
"We've been proud partners of the Hurricanes since 1999, and this new deal will take our association to an incredible 21 years. In addition to this deal, we're also incredibly proud to be able to showcase our new commitment to the team, by having our newest Tui brand, Tui Golden Lager, front of place on the new home jersey for the 2016 season."
Hurricanes chief executive Avan Lee said he is delighted that Tui has reaffirmed its commitment to the franchise and the brand is front of jersey to back the team on the home shirts.
"We are delighted Tui have chosen to launch their newest product on the front of our home jersey. It's the continuation of a strong and enduring relationship, but takes our partnership to a new level. It's always a boost for the guys to know the club's sponsors are right behind them.
"But it's not just the team that will benefit. We look forward to providing our fans new Tui Golden Lager on match day at Westpac Stadium this season. The game day experience for our fans is important to us and we're sure the addition of Golden Lager will be a popular one in 2016."
