Poua vs Matatū at Apollo Projects Stadium, Christchurch, Sunday at 12:30PM.

Round 2 brings excitement for the SKY Super Rugby Aupiki games this week as it’s International Women’s Week and Matatū will celebrate women’s achievements in their match enhancement plan this week.

The first away game of the season for Poua sees some players returning from injury. Forne Burkin returns to the field in the front row supported by Ngano Tavake and former Black Fern Angel Mulu.

Isabella Waterman is at fullback. Waterman now has 46 points for the Poua and is on the verge of becoming their first player to score 50 points in SKY Super Rugby Aupiki.

Head Coach Fusi Feaunati said “We're highly motivated off the back of a disappointing first outing. We’re determined to play a lot better and win down in Christchurch.”

“We have depth in our squad which gives us the ability to adapt to different opponents.”

“This week we welcome back players that have recovered from injuries. We’re excited to see Forne Burkin, a former Black Fern, debut for us this week. Also, the return of Ngano Tavake who has been away in Japan.”

“Joanah Ngan-Woo brings her experience and physicality to the starting group, with team captain Jackie Patea-Fereti providing impact from the bench.”

"We’re looking forward to rolling up our sleeves and getting stuck in.”
