The Hurricanes are excited to announce that Resene have inked a new three-year deal with the Super Rugby Pacific club up until the end of 2027.
The agreement will see local paint manufacturer Resene, who have been in partnership with the Hurricanes for the past 12 years, sponsoring the back of the players’ jerseys.
Resene Managing Director Nick Nightingale, grandson of Resene’s founder Ted Nightingale, said he is excited to continue the long-standing relationship with the Hurricanes.
“Resene is a Wellington-born and bred business and I’ve been a Canes fan since their first game, so we are thrilled to renew our association with the Hurricanes.”
Hurricanes CEO Avan Lee said, “Nick and his family have built Resene into a great business and our relationship with them is incredibly important to the Hurricanes. We will strive to perform at the highest levels on and off the fields and repay the loyalty and support that Resene have shown the Hurricanes over a number of years.
About Resene: Resene is a family run company that has been part of Wellington’s history since 1946. They started producing paint on a commercial basis from its original site in Tinakori Rd before shifting to Kaiwharawhara and then to Seaview in the early 1960’s. They then relocated to Naenae where the factory has remained since 1992. The proudly NZ-owned company has built a reputation as a leader in their field, a quality that resonates with Hurricanes’ vision and values.
